Carrie Me Back
Katie's in her new baby carrier. We have two other carriers, but now that Kate is topping 17 pounds, they were getting too uncomfortable. Painful even. This new carrier is an Ergo, and it is supposed to work up to 40 pounds (though whether my back will is another question!).

I love the Ergo. We've taken five long hikes with it, and my shoulders feel great. Kate likes the carrier... most of the time. Here's to some fabulous fall hiking with a babe!

The Baby Sitter
Mary recently posted pictures of her kids sitting in their Bumbo seats. This inspired me to do likewise. Mary's kids are so dang cute!

Katie hasn't really taken to her Bumbo until just recently, now that she can sit up better on her own.

Katie is not only sitting great, yesterday, she rolled over from her front to her back. Whoo-hoo!

How's That for a Smile?
Katie just discovered she can make her exercauser "bounce." So this is a major new fun thing to do.

Ah, look at that smile! We've only captured a few smiles with the camera, so this picture is destined to be one of my favorites.
